Just this evening I came in on the last portion of the movie, "Prince Caspian". Â The battle was raging, men were dying, and good was battling evil.
At the moment when the heat of battle turned the tide against good, and it seemed all would be lost, the Lion Returns.
The Lions Return signifies the ultimate deliverance of those who are in service to the Kings of Kings. Â Their valiant service in battle whether dead or left alive is justified as the Lion comes to save the remnant of the people.
This is the classic symbol of good vs. evil. Â The human heart dreams, and fantasizes, and makes movies about the good triumphing over evil. Â Continually they create new scenarios and ideas about someone who comes to save the world and destroy the enemy.
It is ingrained in every human heart to identify the enemy...and try to stop them. Â Even those who are strayed furthest from the source of truth...still have the image of God in them...for they were made in HIS image.
Deep down they know that they are the created being and they must worship something.
If they are not worshiping themselves than they are paying tribute to some sport on T.V., or a celebrity, or their favorite band...Ever been to a concert where the fervent fans are waiving their hands in abandon at the celebrity on stage. Â Gets kind of weird.
Yet when so many of us get before GOD, we do not want to raise our hands.  We are embarrassed to acknowledge that the presence of GOD's SPIRIT is bigger than our own.  We want to sit on the throne of our lives and call all the shots.  But man only plans his way...the LORD directs his steps.
First we need to repent, so that we can be sure that we know we are servants of the King. Â But next comes the battle of your life...and quite possibly your death. Â But if you love NOT your life even unto the sacrifice of dying in battle for the KING, then you will save your life. Â Because life is not just this world...it is ETERNAL.
And whether you perish in the battle of this world, or you are alive unto the end of this world, you and I will rule and reign with Christ the KING if it is true that we love HIM...OUR CREATOR. Â He will raise the dead...and gather the souls of them with the souls of the living together unto himself where they will receive their crowns of LIFE...ETERNAL.
But it you seek to save your life...you will lose it.
And at that worst time...when the battle is turning against all those who hold the testimony of Jesus Christ, and it seems that no one will escape, and the evil is about to crush the remnant of God's beloved. Â The Lion Returns.
The Lion is Christ and this is a true story.
Which side of the story will you choose to embrace?
I choose the LION!
