This is the latest news on Earth. Ok...that could mean it is the last news on earth...or the most recent news on earth.
I did this on purpose to illustrate a point. The news we have been getting over the last few weeks has left me empty and disinterested. It's a personal viewpoint. I have had no motivation to write of updates to the same provocations and wars and corruption that are running rampant in the world today.
When there is a lack of news that rocks the world people tend to go back to their holes in the ground, their jobs, their fun and hobbies and ignore what is happening around them. I am guilty of this as well. We have to provide for our families...and that is getting harder and harder these days. Not to mention that we can't constantly maintain a high alert state of mind regarding what's happening on the other side of the world. The flow of information is huge and overwhelming.
With the calamities on a global level occuring on a regular basis, including war, nuclear reactor meltdowns, tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis...etc, it is hard to be moved by the seemingly mundane meanderings of political parties, candidates, and even world politicians who speak words, words and more words.
What really moves a person in response to news is how it will affect them personally. How will it affect, stop, start, help or hinder their lives? On an emotional level we all have certain hot button issues in which we are interested, usually motivated by financial or spiritual realities in our lives. But what we are seeing in the last few months, even the last few years, is a series of calamities that unless they directly affect us, we are disinterested in the final outcome. We are hardened against calamity on other countries, while people are valiantly dying to salvage desperate situations or spilling their blood in war against a mortal enemy.
The truth of the matter is that we are callous and cold unless it directly affects our lives or our loved ones. 9/11 was an example of that principle.
In the meantime we have global organizations, driven by financial gain and control, setting up more and more elements and tools of control. On a trade level we are seeing headway being made towards global free trade.
China is making long strides as an economic super giant to gain even more of the world's trade income.
The United Nations, International bankers and governments are all cooperating in an effort to bring about a stronger one world order for the sake of trade and prosperity. The question is whose prosperity?
International actions of war such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya, are all a means to an end for the sake of control. Regional control of these areas translates to a relationship of global control and global power over other international entities, namely governments and countries.
We are seeing the groundwork laid now for a New World Order. So during these times of news that are less than calamitous, there are events taking place that continue to solidify these relationships of power. It's such a massive undertaking on a global scale, that it is hard to piece all the elements together and understand that there is a larger goal in mind.
But one must ask? Why did the USA attack Iraq? Did we really need to do this? Did we ever find "weapons of mass destruction"? No.
Why are we in Afghanistan? Have we made any real progress by introducing our military presence there? Can a military presence enforce a change of heart in a people that see the USA as the great evil in the world? The Afghanistan population is primarily Islamic. Their hearts and minds are dedicated to the cultural religious beliefs they have been taught from birth. A military campaign is certainly not going to fill them with adulation for the principles of freedom and pursuit of happiness for which America is supposed to be famous.
Why are we helping attack Libya? Do we really have anything to gain? Obama gave a speech a few weeks ago on foreign policy and hemade it clear that we (as America) are stressing the need for democracy to be spread to these foreign nations, because it is democracy that is the anvil of freedom and prosperity? Or is it?
Look at what we have happening here in America? The economy is still continuing to tank. But the news is reporting that things will get better or are getting better. Are things getting better in your household economically? Do you have a rosy outlook on life and prosperity? Amen if you do...great for you...you are the minority. Most people I know are not doing well financially. Many are upside down in the mortgages, barely making it every month, and struggling to put food on the table.
Is this the freedom and prosperity we are trying to spread to the other nations of the world? Or are we spreading the bondage of materialism, which has become the God of Americans and western civilizations. Those who worship this god of materialism are so busy with the "pursuit of happiness" that they forget all about the God of the bible, the Creator of heaven and earth; and this leads us to the discussion of religion.
Islam is a religion of war. No matter how they push their vision of a peaceful Islam on the rest of the world it is clear that actions speak louder than words. But wait...before we get all prideful and uppity about our moral position, think about how America must be perceived throughout the world by it's actions. Spreading democracy through the machine of war is hardly an attractive or peaceful quality. So aren't we just the biggest hypocrites on the block?
The Christian nations is a war machine. Isn't that great!?
America...used to be a Christian nation. Even though America still has a majority of "christians" in it's population...the majority has turned to the God of materialism and through continued self preservation and selfish pursuits supports the actions of a government who spreads "the pursuit of happiness" with war. The inaction of the American people towards God is the biggest problem that America faces. The down right rebellious nature of most Americans against God is the end result of forgetting God and His blessings upon us.
We are a world of people careening out of control towards a global unity that leaves the creator of humanity and earth completely out of the picture....as if God never existed. This is the same kind of action that caused God to strike the Babylonians into confusion by confounding their language so they could not understand each other.
Unfortunately the judgment of God on this world will not be as kind or painless as the tower of Babel. We are headed for the last days which the bible describes as the Day of the Lord or the Day of Judgment. This is a subject so big that few dare ever broach it.
We must each realize that humanity was not meant to exist without acknowleding God the creator. Left to ourselves, humanity will naturally gravitate to the depravity which sin brings. Our meager understanding of a subjective morality outside the perfect authority of God leads us, always down the path of destruction.
Suffice to say that we have forgotten our God and He knew it would happen; and because God the creator is a just and righteous God who deserves our worship of His holiness and perfection, He will and must show His creation judgment. But he is also a merciful God who gives us a choice to accept Him and Eternal Life. If the human mind is honest with itself...it knows there are only two choices. Eternal Life with God or Eternal Death without God. The choice is yours. Jesus is the gateway to eternal life. He is the only gateway. What are you going to choose? Life or death?
