Reaching Out To Nepal
Missions Trip Begins June 24th, 2011.
You may or may not know that my daughter Jocelyn is about to travel half way around the world on a missions trip to Nepal with Royal Servants. She has worked hard to raise funds and so far has raised $3631.00. We have sent out support letters, done 2 car washes, made phone calls, and posted info on Facebook. She worked as a home school teacher for 5 months to raise over $2000.00 herself, as well as odd jobs cleaning abandoned / foreclosed houses.
In order to be fully funded Jocelyn needs to raise a total of $824.00 by June 30th. She is leaving on Friday June 24th, 2011 for training camp in Illinois. That’s 2 days from today. She still has time to raise the rest of her needed financial support. If you can help her out many people will be blessed with the Good News of the Gospel. Every penny counts at this point, so even a small gift would be a great blessing. Will you help us clear the final amount of $824.00?
Here is a link with more detail about the missions trip. http://www.thestrongwatchman.com/good-news/45-good-news/786-reaching-out-to-nepal.html

We will be trying to make arrangements for Jocelyn to have a web blog to give us all updates. More details to come!
Thank you for your support and we appreciate your prayer as well as we send our daughter off to do the work of missions ministry for Jesus. Pray for protection, and God’s Spirit to move on her behalf as they minister in many locations in Nepal. This is a letter from my own daughter to all of you. She would like to share what God is doing in her life and ask for your prayerful support as she takes a huge leap of faith to step out into the mission field. She's only 16 years old! But she is shining example of what it means to put your faith in God.
Please take a look at what she has to say.
Thanks,
The Strong Watchman

Hello and blessings to you,
I would like to share with you an exciting new opportunity I have been given this summer. I have prayed and thought about it much and have decided that I will spend this summer with God.
On June 25, 2011 I will start training camp in Chicago. On July 1, 2011 I will be going on a mission trip to Nepal with an organization by the name of Royal Servants. Royal Servants helps teens along in life-changing experiences with God, by imprinting the knowledge of God in their hearts.
The idea behind Royal Servants is to expose teens to the world’s burning need for The Savior and to equip them for delivering the message of the gospel, and send them home with a passion to live as Christ lived.
I will have a chance to share the gospel and intentionally grow in my personal walk with Jesus Christ. This trip with Royal Servants will be the adventure of a lifetime and the beginning of a meaningful ministry.

Royal Servants have more than just one destination, however, I feel lead to go to Nepal. For about 6 weeks I will dedicate my life to serving others. We will mostly be involved in “street ministry”; utilizing talents such as singings, drama, dance and puppets to attract a crowd and convey the message of Christ. We will share the gospel of Christ in every camp and city in which we spend time.
Before I leave to go on this mission trip, there are three things I have to do. First I must memorize an evangelistic method, called “Connecting with God”, that will help prepare me spiritually and mentally for this amazing experience.
Second I need people who will be my prayer partners during the preparation period and the trip overseas. (The more the merrier!) Please pray for me as I prepare to leave, your prayers will have a direct impact on this ministry. Prayer is vital for everything in life, and this trip is no exception.
Third, I need financial support. The cost of this trip is $4,095 + domestic airfare to Chicago and back. I will contribute as much as I can personally earn but I can’t do it alone. I am seeking financial supporters who will enable me to serve God on this trip.
Would you partner with me by being a prayer and financial supporter? I am seeking 30 people to give $100 but of course any gift is greatly appreciated. Please pray and ask God whether or not you are supposed to contribute.

I am looking forward to seeing how God will work in and through me to fulfill His purpose this summer. I can hardly wait to grow closer to Him. Your support and prayer will mean a great deal to me.
Thank you for contributing in anyway you feel God is leading you. Your prayers will be with me as I travel to influence the lives of people looking for satisfaction that only comes from a real relationship with the one true God and Creator, Jesus Christ. I will be sure to share with you the experiences I have on this mission trip. Hopefully, I will be able to keep a blog while I am there. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
Your Sister in Christ,
Jocelyn Eddolls

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. for everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." Luke 11:9-10
"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

To address your curiosity about Itemization...I do not have that list handy. But the focus of this Missions Trip is at least two-fold.
1. Expose young people in their teens to 3rd world culture and the need that others have for Jesus. This gets them interested in helping or becoming involved in Missions. You never know what kid will become the next super influential missionary for Christ. These kids are going to Nepal and other places because they felt called to go. They experience very real and life changing events as they engage the people with ministry and evangelization in different methods.
2. They do alot of ministry. The kids took extra money to buy products made by young ladies who were recovered from the sex trade. They visited those people who were learning to make a living by making jewelry and clothing. This is just one small item of support that the missions group took part in. There were several raw experiences of sharing Christ one on one with individuals in Nepal.
My hope is that this experience will birth in our daughter a compassion that surpasses mere money, and instead ignites a desire to do greater things in the future for the purpose of reaching the lost for Christ.
I think the money was well spent. Jocelyn raised more than half of it herself by working hard for 6 months.
Thank you for your comment and your thoughts. Have a great day!
