Disaster Preparation - American Preppers Network

By now most people have heard the word "prepper".  It might have a bit of a stigma because those who are classified as "preppers" generally believe that all is not well with the world and that there is a certain end in sight for the status quo.  This end will affect the availability of food, water, medicine, money and just about everything else you will need when it's not available through common channels.

So people are stocking up on everything for their own use and for trade.  People are learning to become more self-sufficient.  Learning how to can and store food for long periods of time.  Learning how grow food in a garden.  

They are converting their cash to gold and silver in preparation of the collapse of the financial market and economy.  They are buying guns and ammo for hunting and self defense. 

They are also watching the news vigilantly for signs of collapse.  There are several forums out there where "preppers" are gathering together to share resources and learn from one another about their new passion of prepping.  

The most organized forum I have found so far is American Preppers Network.  They have organized their subforums by states within the United States making it easier to connect with others in your immeidate area.
